@erin: It wasn't a first time offense for either one of them.
@kristi: It depends, really. I think we've reached the point though where you aren't suspending the "bad" kids to make them better...you are just showing the "not bad" kids that there ARE consequences for their actions. I'm seeing a lot of formerly normal children fall off the deep end because they see no one getting in trouble for anything.
